The makers of the franchise are eyeing up Lady GaGa for their next effort.

“Her sound and sense of drama make her the top choice,” said a source who is apparently connected to the movie producers and is happy to blab to British tabloid The Sun. “Gaga has the look as well as the voice to tackle a thundering ballad. She’s a great songwriter too. This is perfect on every level.”

Other stars who may be in the reckoning for the soundtrack include Amy Winehouse and Michael Buble, although the film doesn’t have a cast or title yet, so all this talk is somewhat premature. But Gaga is sure to relish the chance to tackle a lavish Bond theme.

Not afraid to confess exactly who she is, Lady GaGa recently spoke with press about her unwillingness to share the spotlight when it comes to her musical endeavors.

“I don’t want anybody to have the spotlight but me,” the “Paparazzi” singer tells. “Don’t share. I write all my music. I write everything. I am a woman and I am blonde — it is what it is.”

GaGa, who celebrated her 24th birthday on Sunday, adds, “I am focused on the work. I am constantly creating. I am a busy girl. I live and breathe my work. I love what I do. I believe in the message. There’s no stopping. I didn’t create the fame, the fame created me.”

Also sending her love to her many fans, Lady GaGa tells, “I want my fans to know I’m there for them. I want them to see every part of me. I am never going to leave them.”

Lady GaGa has claimed that her passion for music is so strong that she struggles to sleep.

The singer revealed that she has suffered sleepless nights since she shot to fame last year.

“My passion is so strong I can’t sleep – I haven’t slept for three days,” she told OK magazine.

“I lie in bed and try to pray and breathe. I have a very overactive mind. I’m the sort of person who’d never take medication to calm myself. It’s maddening. But I love what comes out.”

The 23-year-old added: “If my destiny is to lose my mind because of fame, then that’s my destiny. But my passion still means more than anything. For some people, fame kills it and becomes more important than the music or the performance.

“But for me fame is like rocket fuel. The more my fans like what I’m doing, the more I want to give back to them.”

Pop star Lady Gaga has decided to try her hand at designing and create her own range of sunglasses.
The singer who is famous for her eccentric fashion sense is teaming up with designer Linda Farrow, who currently designs shades for labels such as Alexander Wang and The Row, reported femalefirst.

“I can’t wait to do my own line. It’s definitely something I want to do in the next year, as I do have my own style,” said Gaga.

Gigwise reports music sales in Britain dropped by their smallest amount in 5 years in 2009, thanks largely to the massive sales of these 2 international superstars.

Kim Bayley, director general of the ERA, which includes members such as HMV and Amazon, attributes the market stabilization to the 2 pop sensations, and other big name artists.

“Surging download sales and the huge appeal of Susan Boyle and Lady Gaga show music still has huge appeal for the British public,” she told the BBC.

“It is too soon to call an end to music’s decline, but in 2009 entertainment retailers discovered music has still got a lot to offer.”

Melbourne: Lady Gaga went on a shopping spree while on a tour to Australia, sources say. The ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker visited Chanel’s Melbourne city store to shop.

She apparently picked up a white shirt worth $2,670 from the fashion house’s Cruise 2010 collection, apart from a Jumbo Classic quilted bag in gold costing $4,350 and a Camellia brooch valued at $830, reports The Daily Telegraph.

However, her most wacky purchase was a sleep mask equipped with eyelashes stitched on the outside priced at %590.

She made the payment using her own credit card, under her real name of Stefani Germanotta. She thanked ‘Chanel buddies’ at her concert for helping her shop.

Right at the end of Lady Gaga’s concert yesterday,during her monster ball tour,she was given a birthday cake. Also,for the fans by the gate after the show were given the cake as well!

Pop singer Lady Gaga has been compared to Michael Jackson by producer Rodney Jerkins who worked with her on “Telephone”.

“We haven’t seen an artist like Gaga in a long time, we haven’t seen an artist that really has no fear. I remember Michael Jackson used to tell me he was crucified for doing ‘Thriller’, but he had to do what he felt was needed at that time. I’m just happy to be part of history, contactmusic.com quoted Jerkins as saying.
I’ve always wanted to leave my stamp on music, and to be able to say that I worked with Michael Jackson and now I’m working with Lady Gaga, who’ll probably go down in history as one of the best female entertainers of all time.”
