In the latest issue of the rockin’ magazine that is Q, Lady Gaga is featured as their ‘Face of the Month’!
Q mag are showing a lot of love for our Lady in a full page spread dedicated to Gaga’s brilliance.
Naming her as the ‘biggest pop superstar in the planet’, the mag go on to talk about Gaga’s hotly anticipated return to the UK next month, as she prepares to unleash the second leg of The Monster Ball Tour!
It has already been announced that Lady Gaga is gracing the “American Idol” stage on May 5, but Wednesday, April 28 she pre-recorded her performance for the lucky studio audience who stuck around after the results show.
It took over an hour to set up her stage because the crew had to bring in a giant metal angel that had fire sprouting out of the wings, not one but two giant black spiky trees and several park benches made out of giant bloody razor blades. There were also eight or so male backup dancers wearing nothing but black spandex shorts.
They then added dry ice to cover the floor with fog and Lady Gaga herself wearing nothing but some strategically placed black leather leaves and a cape with a hood made out of black netting. Her outfit reminded us of an updated version of what Cher wore in the “If I Could Turn Back Time” video, if that paints a picture for you, and the entire set looked like the S&M version of “Alice in Wonderland” meets the cemetery scene from “Phantom of the Opera” populated by half-naked nymphs from “Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

“She’s the new Madonna, I think, because she’s young,” Goldfrapp told Time Out.
“Madonna’s wonderful, but she’s done her thing. Lady GaGa’s passionate about what she does, it’s extreme and really good fun”, she continued.
The 23-year-old Poker Face singer will no doubt be flattered by the comments and was even branded ‘incredible’ by her fellow singer.
Gaga will be back in the UK in May for the next leg of her Monster Ball world tour, so maybe she can meet up with the British singer then to say thanks.

I first heard the name Lady Gaga through a mutual friend. He couldn’t stop talking about her. Then I heard her music, and I thought, Wow, I love this kid.
An artist’s job is to take a snapshot — be it through words or sound, lyrics or song — that explains what it’s like to be alive at that time. Lady Gaga’s art captures the period we’re in right now. These days, you go to a club and wonder who all these kids are. They don’t seem to have jobs. How can they afford to be here? Her song “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich” explains that scene. It’s about the New York prep-school party kids she grew up with. It’s where she came from. Gaga’s lyrics are incredibly literary. When “Bad Romance” starts, the music grabs your ear immediately. Then she opens with the line “I want your ugly/ I want your disease,” and all of a sudden you’re listening. Most of the stuff on the radio is not very clever, but Gaga presents her ideas in a sophisticated manner. She has an incredible pop sensibility.
People forget how young she is. She is barely 24 — much younger than I was when I became famous. It’s very tough being where she is right now. People are pulling her in all different directions. It’s hard to navigate that. Try to imagine what you were like at her age, if you still can. I can’t wait to see how she grows and what she decides her next act will be. She only has two albums out, but already she is inspiring other artists to go further in their own work.
When I see somebody like Gaga, I sit back in admiration. I’m inspired to pick up the torch again myself. I did an interview with her once, and she showed up with a sculpture on her head. I thought, How awesome. Being around her, I felt like the dust was shaken off of me. I find it very comforting to sit next to somebody and not have to worry that I look like the freak. She isn’t a pop act, she is a performance artist. She herself is the art. She is the sculpture.
Lady GaGa‘s former DJ Brendan Sullivan recently told Esquire that Lady G wants to be the main person in the world of pop music. Sullivan claims that the controversial singer wants to nurture and bring up new artists and bands, as a grandmother might her grandchildren.
According to Sullivan, GaGa once claimed: “There is a musical government, who decides what we all get to hear and listen to. And I want to be one of those people. She didn’t make that statement in an interview or from the stage. She made it in 2007, when she was a go-go dancer sewing her own outfits and I was her DJ. She wrote it in one of my notebooks.”
He added: “I’ll quote something she said to me one day around that time as directly as I can. ‘No-one in the world knows who I am, but they are going to want to know who I am. My first time ever on TV I want to be on a huge show where I play one song. I’m going to come out on stage in my underwear and show the world that here I am and I don’t give a ffff**k what anyone thinks of me. Once she told me that she wanted to be the ‘grandmother of pop music’, bringing up new bands, nurturing their talents, watching them grow.”
Just when you thought that our idol couldn’t find any more outrageous outfits, she steps out in a black lace bodysuit and funeral veil.
Lady Gaga seemed to have taken inspiration from funeral attire as she arrived at a dance studio in Los Angeles yesterday.
And, if the bodysuit and veil weren’t quite enough, she teamed the strange ensemble with a leather studded waistcoat and sky high black platform heels.

American singer Lady Gaga has helped download sales in the UK shoot up by more than 50 percent, according to new figures.
According to the music industry body of the BPI, songs and albums bought from online retailers like iTunes yielded 154 million pounds in 2009, reports The Telegraph. The music industry generated 928.8million pounds in 2009, the figures say.
Lady GaGa is rumoured to be signing a deal to appear as a guest judge on the X Factor this summer.
Lady G, who performed her number 1 hit Bad Romance on the show last year will reportedly fill in for pregnant Dannii Minogue on the panel whilst she has her baby in Australia.
A source told The People: “It’s now a case of dotting the Is and crossing the Ts. Simon Cowell and everyone involved knows just how much of a ratings draw Lady GaGa will be.”
