Lady Gaga is one of the most popular superstars in the world, but what does that mean? Does her popularity equate to the ability to influence and impact the world? You bet it does.

According to Forbes magazine, Lady Gaga is the most powerful woman in the world, for her age. Gaga's celebrity status affords her a great deal of power over the people. She can use her celebrity to leave a positive impact on the world and she is surely trying.

Lady Gaga is only 25, imagine what she will achieve by the time she is 50. According to the list, Gaga beat out heavy hitter, Beyoncé. Beyoncé is a force to be reckoned with, but Lady Gaga is no withering flower. She has one of the biggest and most dedicated fan bases in the world. Her Little Monsters are more than willing to do whatever Mother Monster asks. Her influence is obvious in music and fashion trends all around the world.

It says something when the two most influential young women in the world are entertainers. Dignitaries and corporate women were much lower on the list. Angelina Jolie managed to come in at number four, just behind supermodel, Gisele Bundchen. These are the women that hold the most power to influence the world's citizens. Does that indicate the denizens of the world are more apt to follow beautiful and talented people rather than those who are educated and maybe not as attractive?

Sarah Palin and Michelle Obama hit the list at number 17 and 18. Maybe it is the political theatrics that turn people off. Entertainers try very hard to impress and attract fans, while politicians tend to be a little more shady and alienate people.
