Lady Gaga appeared on Monday’s “Howard Stern Show,” during which the singer discussed her and Bradley Cooper’s upcoming remake of A Star Is Born, shooting down the possibility of anything romantic happening between the two on set. Listen to audio from the interview below!
Cooper will direct and co-star with Gaga in a new version of the music-themed drama, for which the two are currently in rehearsals. “I don’t want to give away what we’re doing with the film, but I will say that it’s a very brilliant direction,” Gaga told Stern on his radio show. “I love the script. I can’t put it down when I read it. I cry when I read it.” On working with Cooper, the actress/singer noted, “This is his passion project and he’s brought me on board and I’m very, very honored to be a part of it.”
Gaga went on to reveal she’s been spending a lot of time with Cooper and he was even backstage at “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend to support her. This led Stern to ask if she believed the actor was “in the process of forming a bond so that you’ll fall in love with him in a sense?” But Gaga explained, “It’s not like that. Bradley is a professional and Bradley is a household human being in every way. I can’t tell you the level of professionalism I experience with him working.” She added, “I think more than anything that we have a very honest and authentic relationship in that we’re really friends.”
