oned02613spUnfortunately, One Direction received some harsh treatment at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards last night (August 25). Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis, and Zayn won the Best Song of the Summer trophy and were promptly booed as they walked onstage to accept the moonman.

However, Lady Gaga came to the defense of the British boy band, showing them some love backstage while wearing her skimpy shell bikini.
