Lady Gaga's hot new song “Applause” debuted last week and it made its way to the number one position on Billboard‘s Dance/Electronic Songs chart this week! “Applause” also debuted at number six on the Hot 100 chart, number three on the Digital Songs chart, number nine on the Streaming Songs chart, and number forty on the Radio Songs chart.
It is expected that the song’s position on the charts will increase next week with the debut of the “Applause” music video a couple days ago.
Following its radio and retail release on Aug. 19, the track begins on Digital Songs at No. 3 (218,000 sales), Streaming Songs at No. 9 (2.9 million sales) and Radio Songs at No. 40 (31 million, up 97%- it registered 16 million in last week's airplay tracking period after less than two days of availability.)
