Unfortunately, One Direction received some harsh treatment at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards last night (August 25). Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis, and Zayn won the Best Song of the Summer trophy and were promptly booed as they walked onstage to accept the moonman.
However, Lady Gaga came to the defense of the British boy band, showing them some love backstage while wearing her skimpy shell bikini.
Gaga tweeted,
"I want to leave right now, . . . I don't want to stay anymore because I don't want to be in a room where people are booing, I just want to tell you that you deserve every bit of success that you have."
