Joseph Gordon-Levitt has praised Lady Gaga's acting skills for her cameo in the forthcoming Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Gordon-Levitt will play the lead role in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's graphic novel sequel and, speaking to radio show Jam'n 94.5, he said he had been surprised by Gaga's turn in the film. "She came in and I was like, 'OK they're having a huge pop star do a scene in the movie, I understand," he said. "But then she came in and, like, nailed it. "She had her character down, and she was like a total pro, and did a great job, I was really impressed," he added.
In addition to the cameo in Sin City 2, Gaga will make her acting debut in Rodriguez's Machete Kills, in which she will play a character called 'La Chameleon'. Sin City 2 was originally scheduled for release on October 4 this year (2013), but will now open in cinemas on August 22, 2014.
Distributors Dimension Films and The Weinstein Company have yet to give an official reason for the delay. Stars of the original film including Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba will all return for the second installment in the series, while other new additions apart from Gordon-Levitt include Josh Brolin, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven and Juno Temple. Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is being shot in 3D.
