Lady Gaga has been booked to host and perform as the musical guest during the upcoming season of "Saturday Night Live," according to a report from TV Line's Michael Ausiello. Until "SNL" makes an announcement, all rumors about guest bookings on the venerable sketch show are unconfirmed. TV Line does not report when Gaga's episode is expected to air.
If Gaga does indeed host, it would mark the third time she will have made an appearance in Studio 8H, and the first time hosting. She acted as the musical guest on episodes hosted by Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake in 2009 and 2011, respectively.
The episode would correspond with Lady Gaga's (real name: Stefani Germanotta) re-emergence after keeping a relatively low profile lately. Her new album, "ARTPOP," comes out November 11, following her latest single "Applause," currently at number 4 on the Billboard charts. She'll also make her film debut in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete Kills" in October.
