Lady Gaga’s last major awards show performance saw her incubate in an egg for “three days” prior. What will she do as the first confirmed performer of the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards?
She performed her hits “LoveGame” and “Poker Face” on the awards show back in 2009, complete with exploding bra. This time she’ll perform a hit off her upcoming “Born This Way” album, which hits stores May 23.
“What better way to kick off this year’s show than by announcing that THE world’s hottest entertainer is returning to our stage,” said Sheila Sullivan, executive producer for the 2011 MMVAs. “Who can forget Lady Gaga’s flaming bra from 2009? She is proof that at the MMVAs, anything and everything can happen!”
No other performers have been announced just yet but past performers on the MMVAs include Justin Bieber, Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, and more.
The “2011 MuchMusic Video Awards” will air live from the MuchMusic HQ in Toronto on Sunday, June 19, at 9 p.m. ET on MuchMusic and in the U.S. on Fuse.
