Gaga is said to have American-Italian heritage, but she is reportedly convinced that some of her family come from the UK and is now trying to prove this.
Gaga has reportedly written a letter to the College Of Arms, which keeps the records on the royal ancestry, to see if she is right about her family history.
A source said to UK newspaper Daily Star: “Lady Gaga’s family has always speculated about their English links.
“Who knows, she may have claims to be in the House of Lords or even be somewhere in line for the throne!”
According to the newspaper, a spokesman for the Bad Romance singer was not available for comment on the report.
