Earlier today, before Lady Gaga's performance for Children In Need, Gaga tweeted, "I will release 1 min 47 seconds & 18 frames of MARRY THE NIGHT: THE PRELUDE PATHETIQUE. The full prelude is 7 min 33 seconds & 15 frames." And as promised, Lady Gaga tweeted the 1 min 47 second prelude sneak-peek after her Born This Way and Marry The Night full-choreography perforamances at the Children In Need Concert.
In the prelude, Gaga begins, "When I look back on my life, it's not that I don't want to see things exactly as they happened. It's just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. And truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it…" Gaga is being guided on a stretcher by two nurses and her face is motionless with her eyes closed as in a deep sleep. She continues, "Clinical psychology tells us arguably that trauma is the ultimate killer. Memories are not recycled like atoms and particles in quantum physics. They can be lost forever. It's sort of like my past is an unfinished painting, and as the artist of that painting, I must fill in the ugle holes and make it beautiful again", she says.
After her sexual comment about one of the nurses' behind, the doors open into what looks like a room of women in a mental hospital and she mentions receiving gummy bears and a knife. The preview ends here and the suspense begins.
