Tonny Bennett Colaborates With GaGa For A Duet

The Metropolitan Opera announced on Wednesday that it will present a beloved Italian-American singer on Sept. 18. But don't expect a night of Rossini arias: Queens-born Tony Bennett will be taking the stage and singing classics from the Great American Songbook.

he concert will be Mr. Bennett's first at the Met, and the first in a series of events celebrating his 85th birthday, which is Aug. 3. The performance will also support his upcoming album, "Duets II," which features songs in collaboration with Lady Gaga (though the title of that song has yet to be announced, according to his website), Mariah Carey and Amy Winehouse. "Duets II" is out Sept. 20.
