Lady GaGa Introduces New Yorkers, To Her Barney’s WorkShop

Lady Gaga is taking over an entire floor of Barney’s in New York City and transforming it into her own ‘personal’ workshop. The shop will open on November 21st and will span an entire men’s floor of Barneys on Madison Avenue. Artists Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide Pierson of Assume Vivid Astro Focus and Nicola Formichetti, Gaga’s stylist and Mugler’s creative director, will help create the amazing workshop. It feature all sorts of Gaga-curated candy, toys, clothes, jewelry, makeup, and of course CDs. Gaga-themed installations will also be featured, including “a jewelry shop created out of an oversized Lady Gaga-turned-spider and a boudoir in the shape of a giant wig.” Not to mention that the entrance to the department store will be made to “create the illusion of walking into the mouth of a giant monster”.

Barneys CEO Mark Lee calls the whole thing “the largest and most completely realized holiday project ever undertaken in the history of Barneys New York”. Formichetti also helped Gaga and Barneys come up with exclusive, limited-edition, small gift items to be sold in Gaga’s Workshop, other Barneys stores and Barneys.com, with 25 percent of sales going to a charity of Gaga’s choice. This is certainly not to be missed and just in time for the holidays.
